Name: Monthly Scholastic Tournament - Jun 2025  
Desc: The Manasota Chess Center (MCC) will hold a U.S. Chess Federation (USCF) Rated Scholastic Chess Tournament for players in K-12 grades who are rated under 1100 (U1100). The tournament will be a 4-round Swiss-system tournament for up to 36 players.

RATINGS: Players competing in this tournament must have a USCF membership. You can purchase a yearly USCF membership on this registration page by checking the box for "I'd like to renew or purchase a US Chess membership", or you can purchase USCF membership on-site at the MCC on the day of the tournament.

TIME CONTROL:
All rounds are Game in 30 minutes.

PRIZES:
Trophies for 1st, 2nd, 3rd place, Top Under 500, and Top Under 250 player.

Additional class-based awards may be added by Tournament Director, depending on the total number of tournament registrations.

All non-award-winning players will receive a commemorative event participation medal.

ROUNDS: 4 rounds. No elimination: each participant plays 4 games/rounds. Round 1 begins at 12 noon.

ENTRY FEE:
If registered online before 11am on tournament day, $20 for Manasota Chess Center members; $25 for non-members. If registering on-site on tournament day, $25 for Manasota Chess Center members; $30 for non-members. NOTE: Manasota Chess Center members should enter discount code when completing online registration form.

REGISTRATION: ALL PLAYERS must have a valid USCF membership ID# to participate. Non-USCF members can purchase a membership or renew at the tournament site. USCF membership MUST be purchased or renewed before the tournament begins. The end of online registration is 11AM, Sunday, the morning of tournament. On-site/walk-in registration occurs from 11:30AM to 11:50AM. Players that are not at tournament site at least 5 minutes before Round 1 start time will be withdrawn from the tournament.
