Name: 6/8 - Chess party, free food & chess Jeopardy  
Desc: On June 8th from 2 pm, we are going to have a chess party and Jeopardy at the Saint Petersburg Chess Club. This is the 4th event for this year when we are going to give more than we will collect from the entry fee. $400 + many other prizes! ********************************************************* DATE AND TIME: 6/8/2025 from 2:00 pm to 5:00 pm ********************************************************* FEE: $15 if you pay by 6/7. $20 if you pay Sunday. ********************************************************* SCHEDULE: We will start games with groups, and after that, we will have individual competitions. It is going to be a quiz game for all levels and ratings based on the history of chess, mostly about Susan Polgar and her family. After this event, you will be more ready for the biggest event of the year at the Saint Petersburg chess club in October, when the most popular woman chess player in the world, GM Susan Polgar, will visit the club for Lecture, Q&As, and a book signing. After Jeopardy, we will have fun with chess games between all the participants, with prizes for the winners. We will finish with a puzzle competition. Everyone will have a chance to show a puzzle to others and if nobody solves the puzzle, he/she will have a prize. The 1st one who solves the puzzle will have a prize also. Very soon we will organize the St. Petersburg Chess Club Puzzle Championship with big prizes for winners. ********************************************************* RAFFLE: We will finish the party with raffle. Everyone who registered for the event will have a free raffle ticket. We will have 5 raffle winners (maybe more). So far at any event this year, we have given more prizes than we advertised. Expect more prizes this time. FREE FOOD: We will offer you free food, which will be available for you any time between 2 pm and 5 pm. ********************************************************* PRIZES: We will give $400 + other NO CASH prizes. 1st place - $250 ********************************************************* 2nd Place - $100 ********************************************************* 3rd place - $50. ********************************************************* Like always, the actual prizes will be much more than advertised.
