Format
The University of Florida Gator Chess Club is proud to host the 4th annual Florida State Collegiate Chess Championship. The format will be a two section, USCF & FCA rated 4-round tournament, played in G/25;+5.

Top scoring Florida school and first place of each section will earn the title and trophy of 2026 Florida Collegiate Champion.

*For the purposes of match pairing, when registering, please list your "Team Name" as the name of your Florida school.

*Open to all Florida college/university students *Must have both USCF and FCA active memberships to participate.

Schedule: 10am - 11:30am - 1:30pm - 3pm

Time Control: Game in 25 minutes with a 5 second increment per move (G/25; +5)

Entry Fee: $10 on or before 3/28 then $15 until registration closes 4/4 at 10AM. Free entry for USCF 2200+ with $10 prize deduction (contact us by email if you qualify).

Prizes ($400 based on 50 players):
 Open Section: $100 (gtd.) - $75 - $50
 U1600 Section: $75 - $50
 - U700/Top Unrated: $50

Unrated Playing Up Fee: $10 for any unrated player wishing to play in the Open section. No fee for other sections

Byes: 2 half point byes available, request before the beginning of Round 2.
